The Rule Of 100
"Nothing is difficult or easy in itself. You make it difficult or easy on yourself." - Shi Yan Ming
Struggling with that fitness movement? Want to get better at a skill? Or maybe you want your child to become a starter on his or her school team. THE SCIENCE IS SIMPLE.
It's called "The Rule Of 100"
"Practice a skill for 100 hours in a year and you'll become better than 95% of the rest of the world."
It's that simple!!
That's just 17 minutes a day!!
For example, pick a sport, any sport.
Do you go out and just play, or do you practice between games? And I don’t mean team practices, I mean by yourself - repeating the mechanics OVER and OVER and OVER again until you become a MASTERat them.
Golf is a sport that I can relate to...
I used to book a tee-time and go out and just play. Rarely even showing up a few minutes early to hit some balls or to spend some time on the putting green.
This resulted in frustration and years of staying the same.
As soon as I incorporated the Rule Of 100, I improved 10 strokes overnight and 20 strokes by the end of the golf season.
How often do you practice ONE MOVE or ONE SKILL, OVER and OVER and OVER again until you’ve mastered it?
As a CrossFit Coach, I see athletes still substituting single-unders for double-unders 1-2-5 years later. Not because it’s a hard movement, but because it requires consistent practice - showing up and repeating the same drills OVER and OVER and OVER again until you get it.
The best playersat any sport will tell you that they’ve spent thousands of hours morepracticing than they have playing in games.
Now that you've decided to use The Rule Of 100 to Master A Skill, what's next?
You Must Commit To The World!
Post it to social media and you will automatically increase your chances of success! Because nobody wants to be viewed publicly as a failure.
Just do it... and find someone else to do it with you! Hold each other accountable, and share your results on social media.

“If I want to do it, nothing is difficult. If I don’t want to do it, nothing is easy.”- Sifu Shi Yan Ming
“Practice, Practice, Practice, repeat, repeat, repeat. It’s one thing to learn a movement with your head - to read about it, study the photos, and say, ‘Yes, I see. I get it.’ Then your body has to learn it. And your body learns through action, by doing a move over and over and over until it’s completely natural and instinctive.”
“As you keep practicing, keep repeating, your mind and body will become one in the action. You won’t have to think about the moves. Athletes know the truth of this. So do musicians and dancers. You can apply this to your entire life. Nothing is difficult or easy in itself. You make it difficult or easy on yourself. There’s nothing you can’t learn to do, if you really want it. If you want to do it, nothing is difficult. If you don’t want to do it, nothing is easy.”
